	I've always thought that the nice thing about life is that if you let your dreams pull you forward, you often end up doing things you never dreamt of. Growing up in Northern Alberta, I always thought that I would eventually work for Marvel Comics. As I finished up High School on Vancouver Island I was introduced to graphic design and a new facet of art opened up for me. I loved graphic design. After a short novice season in High School it would be 2 years before I tried rowing again with the novice crew of the University of Victoria. From that first season of real training, I rowed 6 days per week for the next seven years. I floated around at UVic doing pre-med sciences, a year in theatre, and finally graduating from the department of Visual Arts with a focus in sculpture and photography. All the while, ideas for rowing t-shirts, cool uniforms and logos poured into the margins of my notebooks. Although in rowing I loved the pair and disliked the single, I like working alone and this job suits me perfectly. I get to do all my own graphic design and I also get to work physically by creating thousands of pieces of clothing each year. It's often overwhelming but I never take it for granted that I can work any time of the day that I want and I can play the music as loud as I feel like. This is truly the zero politics workplace.
