Cost will depend on the details of your uniform, but basically the goal is to match your team uniform as closely as possible while using the lightest material and minimal added mass.

This is not an attempt to circumvent rules of racing - it is an effort to comply with the rules while providing lightweights with a uniform that doesn't add uneccessary weight.
